ACTivate Psychology is dedicated to helping you and your family start thriving.
ACTivate Psychology celebrates diversity and differences. I firmly believe there is no one right way to approach learning, thinking, or experiencing life. We all think differently and that’s a wonderful thing! My mission is to help children, families, and adults embrace their individuality, foster resilience and hope; and support them in learning to thrive together. ACTivate Psychology takes a neurodiversity-affirming approach to understanding self and others. The words we choose and the meaning we attach to them influence our well-being, decisions, and beliefs. The language we use has a powerful effect. Using the language of ‘differences’ rather than ‘disorders’ or ‘deficits’ can change how we think about them, and shift our goal from something that needs to be ‘fixed’ to something we need to understand, learn how to support, and foster acceptance individuals just as they are.
My Approach
I take a family-centered, strength based, relationship-focused approach to assessment and consultation. Sessions are tailored to meet the unique needs of each child and family. I focus on strengths while addressing challenges, aiming to enhance overall well-being, self- confidence, and life skills. My goal is to equip individuals with the tools they need to succeed in their own way. I work closely with parents and caregivers to provide guidance, education, and support to help them navigate their own unique journey.

Support for Parents
Assessment is a great first step towards identifying skills, strengths, and areas of challenge, but what’s next? I offer parent consultation to help families truly understand their child’s functioning and needs and help them identify next steps to support their child. I believe in reconnecting families, strengthening attachment, and helping families and children learn to advocate for themselves.
